The Tesla Detector
نویسنده
چکیده
The joint ECFA/DESY Study \Physics and Detectors for a Linear Collider" has worked out a proposal for a detector for a next generation TeV e + e ? linear collider. In this report, the principle design and layout of the proposed detector with emphasis on the TESLA version is reviewed. Examples of reference reactions studied to demonstrate the detector performance are given.

A DEPFET Pixel Vertex Detector for TESLA Proposal and Prototyping Report
DEPFET pixels offer a unique possibility for a high resolution pixel vertex detector as the innermost component of the tracking system in the TESLA detector. DEPFET pixels excel in comparison to other pixel detectors in the simultaneous achievement of high spatial, energy and time resolution even at room temperature operation. In the DEPFET pixel scheme the signal charge is not shifted out but ...
متن کاملSIMDET - Version 4 A Parametric Monte Carlo for a TESLA Detector
A new release of the parametric detector Monte Carlo program SIMDET (version 4.01) is now available. We describe the principles of operation and the usage of this program to simulate the response of a detector for the TESLA linear collider. The detector components are implemented according to the TESLA Technical Design Report. All detector component responses are treated in a realistic way usin...

Physics at Tesla
The physics at a 500–800 GeV electron positron linear collider, TESLA, is reviewed. The machine parameters that impact directly on the physics are discussed and a few key performance goals for a detector at TESLA are given. Emphasis is placed on precision measurements in the Higgs and top sectors and on extrapolation to high energy scales in the supersymmetric scenario.
متن کاملTrack-Based Particle Flow
One of the most important aspects of detector development for the ILC is a good jet energy resolution σE/E. To achieve the goal of high precision measurements σE/E = 0.30/ √ E(GeV) is proposed. The particle flow approach together with highly granular calorimeters is able to reach this goal. This paper presents a new particle flow algorithm, called TrackBased particle flow, and shows first perfo...
